For anyone that wants to be completely up to date on the going on’s in the DJ world, I strongly suggest that you guys get on twitter immediately. Through some twitter detective work, I’ve been able to get the scoop on a number of collabs, releases and tracks, simply by stalking the convos between various twitter profiles. Afrojack and Aoki were locked down in the studio a few times this year, and we finally get a preview of their work together.

I was an early champion of the Dutch House movement, but I’m going to go on record as saying I’m pretty tired of the sound. At the time, it injected Electro with some much needed diversity and helped to merge the big room house and Electro scenes a bit (see: Hey!, Pon De Floor, Stickin’ etc.). But at least for me, its run its course. That being said, Afrojack and others are still putting out a ton of tracks which are exciting, this collab definitely being one of them.

The above are just my own opinions, and feel free to agree/disagree in the comment section. Dutch House was a big part of my sound over the past year, and makes up the soundtrack to my 2009. To anyone who’s still rocking with the sound, no disrespect, I’m just on to the next one.
